Off to the Virgin Islands

Heading out this morning for two shoots in the Virgin Islands. The first couple of days will be a Cardiac Hospital on the island of St. Croix then followed by ferry ride over to St. Thomas for a mixed use project in St Thomas. Keep my fingers crossed with some pending storms scheduled for the next handful of days. I’m praying that the storms actually mean really stunning clouds for shooting. I’m also going to try to get a handful of videos shot and posted.  Have a great Memorial Day Weekend!

Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh: The Gallery

After a couple of weeks of post production on the Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh images I’m finally done.  Even though it took over 30 hours to get there it was worth wait.  There were 120 final images from the shoot and I’ve pulled about 70 of my favorite images and posted a gallery for your viewing enjoyment.  Without further adieu, the gallery.

Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh: Preview

Been plugging away at the office all this week knocking out some much needed post production on a few projects.  One of those projects is my Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh photo shoot from a few weeks ago.  Thought I’d share some finished images.  Enjoy

Clickbooq

Big shout out to the amazing people at clickbooq.  Not only did they select me as their featured photographer this month they also put me on their site under the gallery section.  For those of you who are not familiar with them, they are the people who created my site.  On top of having a really slick product that takes care of all of the back end work and lets you focus on selecting and organizing your work, they are also great people.  Got a question at 2am regarding your site, shoot them and email.  Not a web based form with a bunch of check boxes and generic pre diagnosed problems, an actual email address.  And when you hear back from the you get a real email back, not a bunch of cut and paste pre written text from the tech support handbook, an actual person who writes you back and works with you until your problem or question is solved.  Again, if you are a photographer, graphic designer, stylist or someone with a portfolio to show, stop trying to create your own site or paying a fortune for someone else to do it and call them up.   You wont regret it.

Off to Atlanta

After a much needed day home it’s back on the road to Atlanta for the weekend to shoot some healthcare projects. FYI, swine flu has nothing on me!

Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh: Here comes the sun

Well Egypt, you had me wake up at 4am for the last 5 days and greeted me with cloudy mornings followed by cloudy days, but not today.  As my parting gift you gave me a morning full of abundant sun.  And for that I thank you.  It’s been a great week here in Egypt even with the cloudy weather.  It’s time to make my 30 hour journey back to the states so I can sleep in my own bed for a night and see my wife and 3 dogs before hoping back on a plane to shoot a couple of projects in Atlanta for the rest of the week and weekend.  I’ll try to post more shots as I wrap them up in the coming weeks to be followed by a final gallery similar to Punta Mita’s.  Enjoy this parting sunrise shot looking out on Tiran Island.

Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh: Dear Mosquitoes,

What have my poor bird legs ever done to you? Why oh why must you ravage my legs and feet when my arms are far meatier. Or you could just stop, that would be nice as well.

Sincerely,

The Photographer you Love to Bite

Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh: Behind the Lens

After a cloudy morning shoot today I thought I would post some behind the lens footage from Egypt.  It’s been a great shoot so far.  The resort has been very accommodating which makes all the difference in the world on a project this large.  Hopefully the clouds will clear for the next couple of days of shooting so I can get some proper sunrises and sunsets to do the resort justice.  Enjoy the video, will post more videos this weekend including some footage from the Cairo airport.

Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh: The Red Sea is…

not so red to be honest.  The Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh sits on the Sinai Pensula which gives it stunning blue waters with great coral reefs (something I had no idea of).  Today’s shoot went great.  Created some really nice images and met some very interesting people.  Tomorrow should be another amazing day of shooting as I’ve gotten the resort to modify the lighting and the fountain timers to better suite my early morning shoots.  I’ll post more tomorrow.

Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh: Update

Quick post before heading off to meet with the resort engineers to coordinate the fountains and lights for tomorrow’s 4am shoots. Enjoy
