Mexico City Airport: Portrait of a Baggage Cart
As I was getting ready to take off on my flight back to Dallas from my shoot in Mexico City I noticed this great portrait of a baggage cart. I hope it’s not mad at me for my 200lbs of gear I brought with me.

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort: update
Been working on the shots from this morning’s shoot out at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort here in Tucson. Here’s a taste of the morning’s shots.

Loews Ventana Canyon Resort: the night sky
As I was working on some post production in my hotel room tonight I noticed the flicker of the city lights in Tucson. It was too hard to pass up as a shot. Enjoy

Off to Tucson
After being able to sleep in my bed for one night after coming back from Mexico City it’s off again. This weekend I’ll beahooting the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

Mexico City: Update
Had a great morning shoot over at the ABC (American British Cowdray) Cancer Center designed by HKS Architects here in Mexico City. While setting up the Pediatric Chemotherapy shot i popped outside on the balcony to take a shot looking out on the city. Mexico city is so full of life and energy and the […]

Off to Mexico City
Back on the road again. Heading back down to Mexico to photograph a cancer center in Mexico City. Should be a great shoot as I am joined by several HKS colleagues. Look for more posts this week as well as some updated shots from the Punta Mita shoot last week.

St Regis Punta Mita: It’s a wrap
Like all good things, they eventually have to come to an end. Today I left Punta Mita to head back to Dallas. It was a sad day as I thought about all of the great people I had met along the way: Fidel Castro (I can’t make this stuff up) my personal butler for the […]

St Regis Punta Mita: Why it’s worth every penny
It’s difficult sometimes explaining to someone why you should pay in excess of $500 a night for a hotel room, and I understand that. I’ve been lucky to shoot allot of amazing resorts over the years and I can answer it all by saying this, it’s the service. Sure the locations are amazing, they usually […]

St Regis Punta Mita: El Presidente
Wrapped up another amazing day of shooting at the St Regis Resort in Punta Mita. Spent the better part of the afternoon setting up for the money shot in the Presidential Suite/Villa. 3 Bedrooms, 3.5 Baths (not counting the 3 outdoor showers!) Full Kitchen, Living Room, huge patio, and to top it off an infinity […]

St Regis Punta Mita: Update
Thought I would share a couple of shots from last nights shoot here at the St Regis Resort in Punta Mita. Truly an amazing place. I’ll try to post some more shots tonight after the day’s shoot. Enjoy

St Regis Punta Mita
Just arrived. Simply stunning. Can’t wait to share proper photos that weren’t taken on the iphone.

Above the clouds
It never stops amazing me when I fly how you can take off in dreary weather but once you lift off you get to leave it all behind once you break through the clouds. I had a similar experience sky diving years ago in marginal weather. It was absolutely stunning to rise above the weather everyone else sees from […]

More things you don’t want to see when traveling
Right after I published my last post I looked up from the Admiral’s Club at DFW and saw something on fire across the runway. Not exactly something you want to see prior to taking off. Doesn’t appear to be a plane, it looks like maybe some fuel got set of fire (why, I don’t know). Either […]

Off to Punta Mita
About to head out to Punta Mita Mexico to shoot the new St Regis Resort that HKS/Hill Glazier designed. Should be an amazing week of shooting as weather is calling for clear skies and temps in the 80’s. I’ll try to post some shots during the shoot. In the meantime enjoy this shot from the […]

Outdoor Showers
While in Scottsdale a few weeks ago shooting the Four Seasons Scottsdale I discovered something amazing, this my friends is the outdoor shower. You might say, “Aren’t you supposed to be showering inside?” this is a common mistake. Sure the Four Seasons will give you a gigantic bathtub and a separate indoor shower, but inside the regular shower […]

Things you don’t want to hear at 30,000 ft
Mid way through my flight from Orlando to Dallas this week the flight attendant gets on the ringer and ask in a very stern but desperate voice “is anyone on the plane a doctor?”….there was complete silence. She came the ringer again and said there was a medical emergency and anyone who was a doctor […]
